Gramado is a city located in Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost state of Brazil, strongly influenced by German settlers throughout the 19th century. Its scenery is mostly mountainous, and the main attractions are beautiful hydrangeas in spring, as well as charming alpine chalets, chocolatiers, and handicrafts.
