São Tomé das Letras is a municipality in the state of Minas Gerais, located 350 km away from the capital, Belo Horizonte. The place is known for spirituality and myths including (why not?) UFOs. This small town with a rustic atmosphere typical of the interiors of Minas Gerais earned the nickname "Mystical City" for being considered one of the seven energy points of the Earth. Alenda prays that the Cave of São Carimbado found in the city would be linked to Macchu Picchu, Peru, equally surrounded by legends and mysticism and that it can be a portal to other dimensions, since no one has ever managed to reach the end of it. Visitors reported seeing a portal and hearing strange sounds when closing their eyes.
Tourists who visit the place declare themselves in search of spiritual adventures and believe that the place transmits good energies and positivism. With or without mysticism, São Tomé das Letras is a precious place that surprises with its caves, rock formations and waterfalls... a true spectacle of nature!
At some times of the year the city receives the visit of countless butterflies who make a show of rare beauty in the sky, painting the landscape of the Mystic City. The city is located at a high point in the state of Minas Gerais and offers several viewpoints with great landscapes.
