Trekking in the Pati Valley

The Chapada Diamantina, located in the heart of Bahia, is one of Brazil's most impressive biomes, combining landscapes of imposing mountains, crystalline waterfalls, and rich vegetation of cerrado and Atlantic Forest. This territory of abrupt and contrasting beauty holds within its depths historical trails dating back to the gold and diamond cycles, revealing a natural heritage of inestimable value.

Among its numerous treasures, the Pati Valley stands out, considered by many to be the most beautiful trekking route in South America. Specifically in the Pati Valley, the geography transforms into a natural amphitheater of rounded mountains and sandstone walls, where rivers of icy water meander through valley bottoms covered in vegetation. It is an almost secret refuge, accessible only on foot or horseback, which shelters traditional communities living in harmony with nature. There, the silence is broken only by birdsong and the rushing currents of rapids like those of Cachoeirão do Fraga and Rio Café. The experience in the Vale do Pati goes beyond contemplating peaks like Morro do Castelo; it's an immersion in the simplicity and raw grandeur of the Chapada, which demands physical effort and offers in return unparalleled moments of peace.
