Carneiros Beach - Pernambuco
27-04-2021
Lovers of wild beaches will be delighted by the exceptionally beautiful ones of Tamandaré and Carneiros, considered the most deserted of the south coast of Pernambuco. Everything here refers to a Caribbean paradise: the pastel blue of the calm and crystalline sea, the immense natural pools of hot water in the middle of the reefs, the white sand, and the coconut palms.
Those who do not like walking 40 minutes by the beach from Tamandaré can also reach Carneiros by car, taking dirt roads that lead directly to seaside kiosks and restaurants, known for their delicious fresh fish dishes assorted with typical local ingredients: banana, cashew nuts, coconut ...
After having practiced the tourist's favorite sport, which consists of taking a good nap after lunch in one of these hammocks so very typical of the Brazilian Northeast ... other alternative tourist attractions are also available to the more courageous: horseback rides, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking and jangada tours (fishermen's sailing raft), not to mention the 1.5-hour excursions to visit the reefs and natural pools by catamaran or motorboat, passing by Guadalupe beach , the estuary of Rio Formoso and the unusual spectacle of the green waters of the river mingling with the sea, without forgetting a visit to the charming white church of São Benedito, surrounded by coconut trees by the sea.
