The Caracol waterfall

Waterfall of 131 meters 7 kilometers from the city of Canela, Rio Grande do Sul, the Caracol waterfall is one of the many wonders of Brazil. There are precisely two waterfalls, formed in the basaltic rocks of the Serra Geral. The upper waterfall, about 10 meters in total, is composed of several small waterfalls. After about 100 meters comes the second. The Rio Caracol then enters the Vale de Lageana valley, a magnificent canyon covered with forest. A few kilometers below, the Rio Caracol forms another impressive waterfall - the 70 m high Lageana Falls (Cascata de Lageana). The show is really beautiful and worth the visit!
